The Duchess of Sussex was officially made patron of the ACU in January 2019, taking over from The Queen. As a graduate herself, the Duchess has a passion for higher education, especially for women and in countries where accessing education is challenging. The ACU is an international network of over 500 universities across the Commonwealth.
